Amy & Connor’s Relaxed Liverpool City Wedding 

As a North West Wedding Photographer, Liverpool City Weddings have always been a firm favourite of mine and when Amy & Connor got in touch for me to capture their day I was sold. Put simply, they wanted a relaxed wedding day comprising of a ceremony at the gorgeous St George’s Hall followed by a big old party at Leaf on Bold Street with their closest friends and family. A non-traditional wedding day that oozed Amy & Connor’s style. 

The day started at Hope Street Hotel. Connor and the lads swerved groom prep and instead devoured a pizza in the hotel restaurant (Connor avoided the pizza for fear of getting tomato sauce on his suit – wise choice) whilst Amy & the bridal party enjoyed quite possibly the most chilled bridal prep set up I’ve ever encountered. The florals were sustainable wild flowers, each bouquet made to compliment the colourful bridesmaid outfits. The dress? a minimal satin masterpiece by Reformation that perfectly suited the city setting.

Following an intimate ceremony at St George’s Hall Registry Office, Amy Connor and I went for a little wander around the Hall’s beautiful garden in the summer sunshine. Nothing forced, just having a laugh together and capturing that post-ceremony high – my favourite.

The reception is what really topped the day for me:
The Decor – Rustic bud vases and fairy lights in a warehouse style venue
The Music – I’m taking Artic Monkeys, The Beatles, The La’s, The Kinks… enough said really
The Guests – An absolute vibe
The Feels – Just pure joy and elation

This was the definition of doing exactly what you what for your wedding day and being fully present. A single phone was not seen through the day. No trends, nothing staged, just a room filled to the brim with happiness and I’m so grateful Amy & Connor trusted me to capture their day. One for the books.
